Number 4 Part Uno

This last Saturday we spent the day at the Children's Museum. It was fun to see Dev all amped up for his "party". I sort of had poor planning due the fact we were getting over the creepy crawlies and sinus infections. On the Tuesday before we decided that we would go to the Museum for Mister's birthday. He was allowed to invite 5 friends (and their siblings) to his birthday. 2 out of 5 friends had families with memberships so it worked in our favor considering all the birthday rooms were booked because of my late planning.

We all met at 10:30am. Grandpa Eddie came to celebrate with us although he got put on Baby duty. Madi is quite the handful these days and was following her own beat. The L4 brought Will from Co-Op, we brought Little Tyler, C6 came and C4 came as well. We were happy all were able to come at the last minute.

My engineer building a contraption with the small white balls in the Farm area. The adults sort of scattered and were in charge of certain kids so were could keep good track of every one there. Although, I have to say sometimes they slipped away. I would stand there thinking I had 2 kids but one had wandered off so I had to keep a watchful eye hence there not being as many pictures as I would've like to have taken.

The water area where Dev spent sooo much time at playing. He directed Pay to stand there and squirt water so they could get the pinwheels moving. Pay was great to comply.

The siblings. Where is Luc?

Oh, there he is! His sister, Liv and Will were inseperable all day. I don't think I saw them until it was time to eat cuppycakes.

Dev was insistent on opening his gift from the C6 in the middle of the museum and to sit in his new Clone Wars lounging Chair. He opened G.E.'s gift too in the middle of the Museum. He was ready to watch the Triology and lounge in his chair at that point.

Now, technically you are not supposed to bring in cuppycakes because:
  • there's a reason why they have people pay for party rooms; can't be good for business to have people take advantage of the free snack room
  • cupcake junk falls to the floor and hence stuck to bottom of one's shoe
  • you take up way too much room in the snack area limiting the space for actual snackers
  • in a group of 12 kids (5 friends + siblings) there is always a chance you have wanderers making it more obvious that you needed a party room

But, it was great timing. We played, ate cupcakes, opened presents (the ones he didn't already open in the middle of the Museum) and took little Tyler home with us to hang out. The girls had things to do that afternoon so for us, it worked out lovely. Thanks to all who came and celebrated! And, a special thanks to G.E. who kept Princess Tiny happy the whole time!
