Warning: M&D make a Naughty Pair

Today is New Year's Eve. I am trying to debate if I can even make it to midnight. I am thinking an east coast New Year's is in order. We have been hanging out all day. We had Liam over today, the boys were so busy I didn't get a picture of them together. Plus I was taking advantage of my busy boy. Liam is a classmate from our Co-Op. They had a blast playing trucks and Star Wars...surprisingly they had the most fun giggling and eating together. Who would've thought? Give boys a couple cookies and pizza then they giggle! It was cute.

Afterward, I decided it was time to get a move on my Christmas Thank You cards (we can debate about this later). I do them because I feel it's important to show gratitude and most importantly it's imperative for my kids to know how much thought each gift they receive has thus be appreciative for the things they have. So while doing this project with Nana (Isa's had 2+ years in writing out the thank yous and Nana volunteered) I let Madi and Dev (M&D) play with Madi's new Crayola Beginnings. Madi received markers and paints from Grandpa Eddie for Christmas. I took them out and let them play with it. I had one rule. Keep it on paper. They seemed watered down and harmless. The bonus would be they were busy. I sat down with my back to them (first mistake) and started helping Nana spell our family members' names. I asked them if they needed anything and they responded in cheerful glee's. I was non suspecting what was to come. Nana and I got through 3 Thank You cards and this is what they looked like...mind you, I was sitting at the table next to them. I was shocked.

He told me that he didn't use his fingers but clearly he used his fingers!

She took off her pants and decided to tattoo her body with her colorful fingers.

Madi isn't quite sure what to think of their creation. She just knew that clean up was about to come and coloring time was over.

I believe that M&D decided that since Mommy was going to have her back toward us that they had to get in every piece of color on them and make 10 pictures before Mommy decided it was time to clean up. Dev was flying through paper with her. I don't even really know if Madi used paper. I think she thought it was too much effort when her body is so convenient. The GOOD thing about these markers and paints they wash off like water. Cleaning up wasn't hard-as soon as Madi sat in the bath she was washed clean.

I totally believe it! I have never seen a child so quick with a marker. Madi can take a pen off the counter, take the lid off and mark on something within seconds. I am still amazed!!
