Mommy's Day Out (with Sick Kiddies at home with Daddy)!

My girlfriend, Erica, is here from Germany. I see her once a year...on average. She is originally from here and our Moms were pregnant together so you can say we've known each before birth?! She is my longest most dear friend and yesterday she called to see if I could meet it up in Seattle for coffee. Well, how can I say "no"? I couldn't. Dev was feeling a bit better...Madi was miserable but Daddy said he'd brave it on his own. I told him I'd be back in about 2-3 hours at most. Heh. It ended up to be an all day event. I took Nana thinking I could have her back in time for a birthday party...that was a negative. The day slipped us by...

We met up at Viewpoint in QueenAnne. This is off QueenAnne Avenue North (and make a left on Highland) an amazing view and fun park below (that's rarely ever busy).

This is what you can see from the top of Viewpoint. Amazing, huh?

This is another view from the very long Viewpoint look out. :)

The park below had tons of rock climbing and twisty toys for Nana. It made me sick to watch her but our Monkey loves this. We then went to Sunfish Fish & Chips on Alki. I was very partial to Spuds on Alki but the fish and chips there were soooo good!! You should definitely try it (it's further down past Starbucks and Pegasus Pizza-another YUM place to eat).

They asked if we would like to go to Bellevue Art Museum and B-Square with them. I checked in with Husband and he said "go for it". Half of me felt badly because I knew he had a lot on his to-do list:

  • Carve Pumpkins (3 to be exact)
  • Give him and Dev a hair cut
  • Finish cleaning the Espresso Machine
  • Taking care of two sick ones?! That's enough in itself.
He was so great and is such a super Daddy. It was a special treat to leave and know everything is going to be fine. :) So, we were off to Redmond to visit the Redmond house that they used to live in and just recently sold. The new owner had this house featured in Better Homes and Garden. I can see why! It's amazing!! I heart wrap around porches!

This picture doesn't do it justice but I didn't want to be stalker lady and a coyote was running across the grass below the house so I stood as close to the car as possible.

We then went to the Bellevue Museum and B-Square. Nana got her 10th Webkinz, Coco the Monkey. She claims this is her last one...Erica spoiled her.

Lastly we ate at P.F. Changs and got home at 9pm. Thanks, Husband for a special outing. Might I add the house was in perfect shape! I wouldn't have ever known he made dinner, carved pumpkins, did baths and hair cuts. Gotta love that! :)
