Happy 7th Month Birthday, Tiny Tot!

Yes, 7 months ago we gave birth to our Tiny Tot. Our lives have not been the same. Whether, it's your first or you 100th life just isn't the same after their arrival. You wonder how life existed before they entered. It's unexplainable. Truly. I was thinking of things Tiny Tot has accomplished in her short span of 7 months on planet Earth.

In just this last month, she has:
  • gained a tooth (two teeth on the bottom) and gained the nickname Tracy Two Teeth (you have to know Husband to get the humor in that)
  • eaten zucchini, carrots, fortified rice cereal, rice yes REAL rice (and tonight green beans)
  • learned to crawl backwards
  • lift her buttocks in the air (as if she can rise up and walk)
  • been getting so frustrated because she can only go backwards and can't stand up
  • fallen in love with everything she can't have keys, remote-all the germ infested items I won't let her near
  • gotten sick (twice!)
  • discovered her voice and screams just to get a reaction
  • lost her patience and wants what she wants when she wants it.
  • moved into our room (now that teeth have broken through we're moving her out...hopefully)

Some great milestones some not so proud of backward steps but in parenting that's the way it goes and I've learned to just roll with the punches it all works itself out eventually. At one point I didn't think Dev was going to leave our bed and now skips off gleefully to bed. Okay, may be not gleefully but not screaming either.

On a Mommy note I have started scrapbooking. Yay for me! My family (and friends) have been so wonderful in supporting my habit. I have got all kinds of inspirational blogs and books. I have missed my Scrap night out but I think we may do it soon. Denise has 4 kids as well and we all got hit with a dose of the yuckies so we paused our venture to nurse our kids back to health. Now, that they are getting close we should plan it (right, Denise?).

Cookies...I don't even know what to say-I am managing the cookies for the Troop and after Opening weekend I've learned what not to do and how crazy some of the Mommies out there really are. It has been such a success in the midst of all the madness and Isa's enjoying all the cookie expediting with me so that makes all of this worth it. I'm a rookie Cookie Mom so by the time Madi is a Brownie I'll have it down. Husband is probably reading this and shaking his head. Which makes me giggle I can't say this experience makes me want to jump and do it again. But, now that I know what to do I can implement a better system and master it. That's my issue-I want to master every task given to me. Blah, blah...point is Cookie Season is doing excellent and I will have to post some pictures soon.

I have not taken pictures since Valentine's Day-I think-the kids have been so sick. It's been infection after infection. This Winter has been a hard one for us but we survived and hopefully can maintain our healthy streak through Spring! Are you crossing your fingers for us?
