They looked like this!!!
So, off on the hunt we went. They have different ranges as far as prices and trees. $25 and you can get a dinky sad tree (Charlie Brown tree) or $40-$45 and you can get a Noble or a Turkish tree. I think the whole tree business can be robbery sometimes. Trees costing tons of money for 4-6 weeks! But, it's a major part the kids look forward to so you gotta get it. Fabulous Tree, here we come. Here's our journey.

We're off to find a tree! Madison is strapped to me while I photograph these memories!

Dev got stuck in some thorns and Isa is pulling them out for him. After that he didn't want to walk.

Tree #1; I wasn't impressed. I voted to continue looking no matter how cold Nana was.

Dev was on a walk strike.

Isa pretending to cut the tree. Basically, this was a photo op for her "Tradition" assignment she's doing at school.

Victorious!

Husband carrying the tree. He was screaming "Hurry up and take the picture! This is (words I can not use) heavy!

The kids' favorite part. Candy canes and hot cocoa (or hot apple cider).
Then to the 2nd half of our day. Christmas Cards. What makes a perfect Christmas card? Some may say matching Santa hats and outfits with perfectly smiling children. Not us, we just hope they are looking in the same direction at the moment of the snap. That's it. Simple, right? Who are we kidding that's like hell on earth! How the heck are we supposed to get our 2 year old and 4 month old to SMILE and LOOK at the camera at once without Isa and Nana's poor faces falling off. Challenge of the day.

Take 105.

Take 250. You see Tiny Tot's sock and Isa's pink pants? Yeah, you're only supposed to see the top of them.
I can honestly say that it was not as bad as I was anticipating. Until...our bribe (I like calling it Positive Reinforcement) of marshmallows has ran its course. We did end up with a lovely picture for our Christmas Card. You'll have to wait for yours.
