She'd kill me if she saw "play date" because that's not really what she does anymore...she hangs out.
Whatev. It's still a play date to me. This particular "hang out" was with her classmates at a park close to school. They were scrimmaging. One little boy, Eric organized it all even calling the parents and classmates.
My phone call went like this...oops, I mean her phone call:
::ring ring::
Me: Hello.
Eric: ::shakey voice:: Hi, is Austin or Kirsten available? Uh...
Me: Is this Eric?
Eric: Yes...
Me: Hi, Eric! Is this about tomorrow at the park? What adults will be there? How many kids are going? What do I need to bring for Isa?
Eric: Well, Ryan N.'s Mom will be there with water and I think 5 people have confirmed.
Me: Do you want to talk to Isa?
Eric: ::shakey voice still:: Is that okay?
Me: Yep! ISA, get the phone - Babe!
Daddy: Who's that? She can't talk on the phone. ::me waving him away and giving him the stink eye:: What? She can't! ::me moving away from him so Isa could take the phone::
Isa: Hi, Eric!
Okay, in no way shape or form is Isa interested in boys unless it's to beat them at soccer. PLUS, she's a super good kid with no intentions on having a "boyfriend" no matter how many of her friends has one. Smart kid.
This "hang out" was basically a fun gathering organized by them. I stayed. Duh. The kids loved playing at the park while Isa played soccer. That's what I call a win/win situation.
Oh, oops...did I not mention I would be there taking pictures? My bad. Sorry, Isa!
Isa and goofy Eric running around with soccer balls. As you can see, Isa doesn't mess around she came fully prepped to play soccer.

Funny how the social aspect totally changes in 6th grade. Isa cracks me up. She is all business!
