Yellow Leaf Cupcakes and 20th Birthdays!

February is insane. It's so many of my friends and family's birthdays. Seriously...by March I'm in a food coma. But that's not to say I don't enjoy every minute of it. Because I DO.

Yellow Leaf Cupcake. WOW, is all I can say. My husband keeps saying "seriously, how many cupcakes can you eat? Doesn't it get old?" I know, blasphemy. I just wanted to smack him when he said that. HELLO?! There are plenty of reasons why cupcakes are delicious. HASN'T HE HAD ONE? The challenge is finding those bakers who have similar food philosophies as myself. This might've been close. They are constantly making new flavors and don't make in bulk.

They believe in fresh, unique and wholesome. Camie (the Birthday Girl) asked when they were gonna be on Groupon. His reply "I wouldn't want to cheapen what we do". Mad respect. You have a quality product. I love it. I would totally come back and chat with him more. He was so warm. I felt like I was home. I know my kids did too...as her son, Tyler and Dev were bouncing all over the friggin' place. They hadn't even had cupcakes yet.

Mine. Maple and Lavender. Heaven. He makes the frosting with Italian Buttercream. Did you get that? Italian Buttercream. Holy Mother of Cream, it was delish.



I didn't tell you? They also make fresh Belgium and Mexican Hot Chocolate. And, yes we had both. I'm a fan of the Mexican Hot Chocolate. Usually, I don't like cinnamon and chocolate together but it was like a Willy Wonka Chocolate River. SO smooth. The right amount of spice and richness.

I love their concept. I love their spot. I love the fact I could sat with the owner/baker all day and talked about cupcakes. Literally.
