I'm already laughing because this experience - as it is many times with parenting are never what you expect it to be. I envisioned her loving the idea of getting haircut and being excited...me sipping coffee/tea and taking pictures.
Madi had other plans for me that day. In situations where I expected her to freak out - like the dentist with Aunty Sarah or at the doctor's office for a shot - she was picture perfect. I come expecting freak out and tantrums and leave a proud Momma.
This is before we sat down - waiting in the lobby for cousin, Shannon. Look how happy we are!
Cousin Shannon was so understanding and did an amazing job with Madi. Thanks, Shannon!
So, my cup of coffee sat cold next to my camera until I remembered - Dev could take pictures - so here's our experience.
I am sitting in the chair...yeah, not my idea of a good time.
I asked him to take more pictures and somehow his thumbprint ended up on the lens. He was multi-tasking playing the DS and taking pictures. I'm just grateful he did. :)
One lollipop later...we had cut hair. Whew!

Sure thumbprint...you purposely smudged it so we could never see your face. You need more pictures of yourself.
She looks fairly happy. As long as she's on your lap. Next time I suggest a tiara for when she's finished ;)
Only one lollipop??? I'd say that's not to shabby, considering she is a D-I-V-A.
I loved the facial framing that Shannon did!
P.S. That was quite the greesy smudge on your camera. I saw it when I tried to use it and it took you awhile to get it off the lens.=)
Awww so cute! And I just LOVE the fact that D was taking the photos! Hmm...wonder what he'll be when he grows up? I think its a toss up between a Jedi and Photographer...or maybe he could be a Jedi Photographer =-) Start a new trend!
She is such a pretty little girl. ha ha your blog totally made me laugh....well written.
