'Tis the Season for Yuckies with the Kiddies

It's been Madi. It's been Nana. It's been Me. It's...just that time of year where the yuckiest things come and play. I'm crossing my fingers I don't have to take trip #2 for Dev this week back into the doc. I always go in (because I see signs of what is to come) a couple days too early...where it isn't classified as bacterial. And, just my luck - it wasn't my regular doc. SO...most likely in the words of the Terminator except I'm like the Mominator "I'll be back!" You better believe I will use my 10 years as a Momma experience card and say "I told you so" because sometimes acting like a 4 year old when you're right about your kids' health is necessary. PLUS, it makes me crabby to drag my poor sick child back into the doctor.

Dev is my routine sicky. He always gets the worst of the worst and in most cases bizarre things. If there is something, you've never heard of - most likely he's had it. Feel free to call me anytime and ask me. So, by now - I pretty much can pin point the wave of what is to come. The snot. The cough. The seal bark croup cough. The yellowish greenish discharge. Watery eyes. Red Cheeks. Misery for my poor little guy...the girls get sick too - but my boy, he gets the worst of it 10 out of 10 times. His wife will thank me later for the many years of sick-pampering he gets from all of us. Did you see his face up there? He can be a poo with the best of them some times BUT that face when he is sick turns us all into putty in his hands.

Cue the Couch. Cue the DVD player for Star Wars. Cue the Vitamin Water (upon special Dev request). Cue the Cars blanket with his bed pillow.

Commence the lump on the couch position until yuckies are gone.

Stay healthy, Everyone!
