Jammed Packed Sunday!

Our weekend was sort of a bit of nothing and then...BAM! Busy Sunday. Saturday, it was our first Saturday off from soccer games since September which wouldn't seem like a lot but our 3 kids played and we have our Daddy coaching all 3 teams it got a bit hectic. So, to have this last Saturday off was like a big sigh of relief. Husband got a bizillion things done he's wanted to work on since we moved in.

He cleaned the gutters - put our door (that was off and the hinges were loose) back on in the laundry room - wired the cable (underneath the house) to our play room (it was a previous formal dining room) and tried to fix the garbage disposal I broke (oops!). Amazingly productive day - we even had 1/2 the C6 girls over and their Daddy took Em, Kay and Isa to Em's friend's birthday party at a skating rink (it was free skate as well so he just paid for Kay and Isa). It was so nice to hang with the girls. Haley and Dev played Star Wars Legos for awhile - okay Dev played the entire time but Haley took some breaks. Dev can be a bit much with this game! Super obsessed is what he is. Nana came home from a fun Saturday with her friend, Zo (Dev's friend, Ian's sister). This Saturday rocked! We were all completely relaxed and enjoyed it.

Sunday, I had planned on it being nuts. I knew on Saturday that I had to do the following:
  • Train at the Fremont Market for my Aunt's booth where she sells handmade purses (hobos and messengers with fun wallets and cosmetic bags). She wants to be able to do the Ballard Market as well and I thought I would help out and get out on some Sundays. Sweet deal, right?

My Aunt's messenger bags - some of them have laminated fabrics from Japan and the quality in the material is amazing. And, they're water resistant!! I sat through so many rainy soccer games with my bag filled with my Mommy stuff - 4 juiceboxes and 4 snacks + wipes and diapers. It rocked!

Her hobos. Isa loves this guitar print that are the same colors as the pears in this photo! There was one more owl tote that my aunt had that she really wanted but I wasn't confident it'd fit all of her school stuff.

She just started making these mini coin purses. They are stinkin' cute. Isa and Nana both have one and love that the inside is a different fabric. Nana has the one in front here with the monkeys. Isa took a yellow one with a monkey on it!

Isa did the display for the cosmetic bags! She was a wonderful helper! Her and my Aunty roamed the market for an hour or so while I manned the booth. Isa had the best time - she got some crocheting lessons and yummy market food. The best!!
  • Grandpa Eddie took a look at my "knocking" situation on my new (used) van. It makes this knocking sound when I slow to about 10 miles per hour to a stop. Of course the 2 times he's looked at it now it hasn't done if for him. I rode with him and didn't hear it. I think he thinks I'm looney. Yep, his son married a looney. I hate when that happens it was like going to a doctor with a 102.5 temp and you get there to find out you have no temp and your cold symptoms disappeared! WTFreak!
  • So, after I declared myself looney - we went to Daddy's soccer game! Go, FC INTERNATIONALE! They had a win! Daddy and C6's Daddy, Dao had goals. 2 were headers (woot! woot!) one by Daddy and one by Dao and then another goal by Daddy I missed on my "clean" bathroom hunt. So proud of the boys! Amazing game!!

Dao picked out these very bright shoes in like every shoe size at Ross and Daddy of course - had to have a pair. :D I can spot him now! He rocked it. I had some action shots but he is too fast for my Powershot camera - they all were blurry.

Oh yeah, skittles and soccer! This is the only time I let the kids sort of go crazy on treats because it's a special time we get to have with Daddy and they stay still when they're eating, man! This is Madi and Isa enjoying skittles while watching Daddy play!

  • Happy 2nd Birthday, Ella!! Madi and Ella were are natural best friends - they share wild brothers in common. Tyler and Dev were tearin' it up because they were the only boys. Our girls even had a couple girls that were their age there that they played with. The hit was Aunty Angela, Cam's sister-in-law my kids just adore her! She played with all the kids and was a lot of fun!

Madi and Ella. They were running around so much - this was all I got!

Oh yeah, the food was yummy. Prawns on sugar canes - steamed crab - sticky rice - egg rolls, our kids were in Asian Food Heaven! Daddy was feastin' after his big game!

Sunday was nuts but it was a lot of fun. The girls are taking the next three days off for Veteran's Day and vacation days. They were so happy to spend some time with Mommy. Today is Pajama Day and tomorrow we're going to go to the Museum to hit up the Alaska exhibit at the Burke Museum before it's over. The G side is from Alaska and they went on a cruise up there a couple years ago so Alaska is one of their fave places! We can't wait!

Can't believe you got a pic of the girls. I love that pic. Is Madi's eye ok? I thought about her last night. Yes, they share 1 major thing in common, their wild brothers. Glad you guys came!

Those shoes are awesome. Gone are the days of wearing my pajamas to school and celebrating veterans day. Boo. In other news. I love that bird hobo bag. Guess I'll have to hoof it to fremont sometime soon!
