Mo' Soccer and TV Turn OFF Week

TV Turn OFF week. Earth week and a chance for all kids to turn the tube off. I am all for this except my kids' afternoons/evenings M-TH are homework and activities and aren't allowed to watch TV during the week. Tiny and Dev do because well, I have to do the necessary things like shower, cook meals and their down time is Wubbzy. Yes, I turn on my beloved DVR for pre-recorded episodes of Wubbzy and Little Einsteins for my wee ones when I am trying to cook dinner (especially) and when it's 2pm before Tiny naps at 3pm (can you tell she's on her older siblings' schedule?). So, did I cheat this week and let them watch TV? I did. Between the hours of 2pm to 2:50pm when the girlies get home.

I didn't feel like we read more than usual because our schedule didn't permit that. Daddy read to them so that was a change from Mommy reading. Does that count?

But, it's Friday = Movie Night so TV Turn OFF week ends tonight.

Sidenote: we conquered letter Ss. Boy was that hard! Dev was so discouraged. He said his Ss's looked like Zz's. We did Ss for a 2 weeks so we could work on it. We enjoyed exploring Spring and Summer. We talked about our favorite things to do during this time of year. He came up with a lot of Ss words through out the week. Next week is Tt. He is leading his alphabet adventure and choses his letters.

-snake
-skittles (Easter candy prompt)
-sun
-shine
-Sheree
-shut
-sorry
-seven
-silly
-scary

On to our other Ss word Soccer...

Drum roll!! Nana scored 2 goals her first game!!! Isa's game on Tuesday Isa scored the only goal so our girlies are on fire.

Coach Daddy talking to the Cannonballs.

Halftime snack. G6 special, oranges.

Goalie.

What my boy does with the other boys of our soccer girls do...hang out by the drain and put grass into a garbage truck?! Don't get it but I guess I don't have to because their busy.

Ohhh! I love, love, love, the pic of the Daddy with all his kids, reading. How precious! That is one that the kids will cherish forever.

I was reading your Ss list and thought to myself 'what is a Sheree?' You always call yourself mommy in your posts so it took me a minute. Please forgive me slowness.
