Veteran's Day Weekend!!

We had a packed filled weekend. I have to start off with thanking all the Veterans who have served our country. We salute and appreciate you. :)
  • Friday (the 7th) there was no school but we had a birthday party at the Imagine Museum in Everett for Dev's classmate, Julian (who was also on the soccer team, who also has a sister named, Isa as well that Isa is very close to) for his 4th Birthday. It was hard to explain that Dev wouldn't be 4 until after Christmas and when the flowers are blooming in Spring. Hard concept for my little 3 year old. But none the less he was happy to hang with Julian and another classmate, Will at the Museum.
  • Saturday was more fun. The league was having the U9 teams' tournaments. Which means that Isa was playing soccer...all day. Her first game was at 10:20am and if she won that game she would have to play again at 2:20pm...well, we had a birthday party for Ella, Lil' Tyler's sister in New Castle. So, my fingers were crossed that she would lose the first game so that we all could go to the birthday not just me with the two youngest. Well, she won. :) So, it was GREAT for her. But it meant that I went to a birthday (during naptime) with Dev and Madi. Surprisingly though, they were both perfect. I thought for sure I'd have two cranky pants on my hands but they were super. So, we celebrated with Ella. She was so cute and so excited to smear birthday cake in her hair (and her darling dress)! Then, after that we had a big soccer bash for the end of the season for Isa. They finished their league in 3rd which is great!! They were I think last. So, they fought their way up to 3rd. I was very excited for her and she will be playing in a Gobble Tournament next weekend and then a Jingle Tournament the first weekend of December so soccer is not over for her yet. Anyway, we ended the season with a remarkable party with all of our U9 families at our coach's house. There was pizza, lemon drops (for the adults of course) and tons of playing for the kids. It was fun to hang with the families in a non-soccer environment. :)
  • Sunday...Daddy worked all day. Isa was at a sleepover and didn't get home until 6pm that evening and the rest of us chillaxed (that's chill and relax). It was what we needed (including Mommy).
  • Monday was a school day but I thought why not make a full five days of our weekend since they had Tuesday off anyway? So, Monday we played with Aunty Tina at the Woodland Park Zoo. It was her first Zoo experience so we were happy to show her the ropes or should we say vines!

The hippos are Dev's favorite. He loves to climb on them.

Aunty Tina, Madi and Dev in the Habitat Loop. Tina and I took turns in the turtle but those pictures will remain out of the blog. :)

4 spiders hanging out.

Isa and Aunty Tina watching the Lemurs.

My favorite...flamingos.

The Zoomazium. LOVE IT. I usually go there last because they never want to leave and if we do it last I won't be stressed for time and making sure we see everything we want to see. But, on our way in we saw our old friend, Bryce from last year's 2's Class. So, we had to hang with him! It was so great to see him and his Mommy. They live up the street from us but they go to a full time preschool this year so we hardly ever get to catch up with them except around the neighborhood. Special treat for Dev.

We had so much fun this weekend, I woke up today and couldn't believe it was over. But all good things must come to end. Until, next break...
