The Number 6

Some one is 6. Hmm, I wonder who it could be? All month Husband and I have heard, "you know I'm the last one to turn 6 in my class?" Everyday for last few months actually. Once Natalie (one of her besties) turned 6 it was non stop. Then, Kaiya (another bestie) turned 6 in May then it really started. Countdown to 6. I was relieved when the countdown ended yesterday. Yesterday (her actual birthday) she got up at 6am. Before Isa and I woke up to announce to everyone it was her birthday and she was 6. We did our birthday dance and she got dressed so we could take Isa to school. She's an afternoon Kindergartener so we dropped Isa off at school (7:30am), went inside to hear the announcements so that she could hear her name called for the Birthdays of the day. Oh and Wednesday night she lost her 3rd tooth so she had to make sure Ms. Rust put her name on the Board for Lost Teeth. Every unit we walked in she yelled, "it's my birthday" to everyone and anyone who would listen. Then, we went home watched 2 episodes of Super WHY and then off to Build a Bear to get her 2nd Build a Bear.
Pinky the Leopard.
It was Field Day so she played hard, had cupcakes with her class, Kelci got to come home with us to hang out and go to swim lessons (from 3:45-5:30pm), we dropped her off at home and had a late dinner with Daddy's famous and well adored, Enchiladas. Nana's favorite meal. I swear she is Dora even if she says she's not. Dev can be Boots the Monkey because he's always with her like her sidekick. Lastly, we had cupcakes.

This is what his face looked like. He didn't eat his dinner so he couldn't have a cupcake. He isn't a fan of Enchiladas. So, he had a chicken corndog and got his cupcake. Who are fooling? This boy wasn't going to not have a cupcake but it was the nightly dinner battle him and his Daddy have so he knows the importance of dinner eating as a family. And, that we're not short order cooks. Except, we kind of are...our meals are all derived from what the kids will enjoy and then what we would enjoy. But it didn't help that there was a pinch of exhaustion from Dev considering the day itself (that's me defending his poor sportism).

You have to get the full effect of our household singing and the crying. Between Tiny and Dev there's a lot of crying at our house. Although, Tiny was screaming gleefully not in annoyance of us not paying attention to her (for once). But there is noise at our house all the time. But, more often than none it's fun and exciting. Just loud.

That video is adorable. She looks SO MUCH like you! How sweet of her to wish to spend time together, too. :) You are inspiring ... I love reading all that you have going on with your kids. I can't wait until we have more babies and we have lots of events around THIS house. Happy Birthday, Isa!
