The consensus around the room was "I'm making a rock." The story was about a Clumsy Crab and to design something with their clay around that story. My kids wanted to make rocks. :)
So, I'm delayed in my blog...why? Because my Board Meeting last Wednesday gave some enlightening details of our Co-Op all unknowing to me because my glass is half full. Anyway, it all has to do with our 4's Curriculum and we can debate back and forth and I've spend 8 hours on the phone (on and off Thursday-Saturday) talking about it. The good part? I called a Meeting and it will be fixed by next year. We're in the process of some great ideas. Oh, if you hadn't figured out-I accepted the nomination to be our Co-Op's Chair and we're voting on Wednesday of this week. :) Husband has been 100% supportive through all of this and through my emergency meeting held at 8am on Saturday morning after a sleepover and on a day with both girls having soccer at 11am. He was fantastic and every thing ran smoothly. I'm most excited about our Co-Op's Board being so pro-active instead of whining without doing.
Okay, back to Kids and Clay. It was really neat. They read a story to the kids, explained the tools and then said "parents, back off!" so we just hung out and let their creativity flow. The kids were so excited and better yet proud of their creations. I loved it. I used my Ergo carrier for the first time at a school function with Dev and Nana. Wonders! It was fantastic. :)
